What a great weekend! Abundant sunshine, blue skies and the hint of summer in the air.

Hannahbelle's days were filled with walks in the pram, helping us in the garden (by having a long sleep and then babbling in her pram happily while we finished the job), cuddles, tickles and love with her aunt, discovering she likes pumpkin (just like her mum) and trying out her new talent - rolling.  Amidst all of this there was lots of babbling, smiling at anyone who smiled at her and generally be delicious. Ah, the simple things really are the best...

Hannah had her 'half' birthday this week. It made me reflect on how I felt when she was born and in those first few weeks at home.Hitting the six month mark seems to require a revisit to the newborn days in some ways. She wakes during the night again and seems to need a whole raft of new equipment (high chair, carseat, playmat/pen) and clothes.  Fortunately this stage is nowhere near as scary as that realisation that this baby is yours and completely your responsibility.  Plus you've already adjusted to the fact that everything takes 3 times as long in babyland, going out for a coffee is no longer a spur of the moment activity and no matter what you think, you will end up with baby spew on your clothes.  The best part though, is you've started to get to know your baby and she's no longer a sleepy newborn, she's a little person with her own cheeky personality.

So although I wish time would slow down as I want to savour every second of her precious first year, I can't wait to see what the next six months brings!
